Writers Avenue Theatre seeking plays for ‘The Gossip’ (18-30 year olds)

From Writers Avenue Theatre Company – contemporary plays by contemporary writers. Open to writers 18-30 years old who would like the opportunity to develop work and showcase it in front of an audience including top industry professionals.

We’re not one to gossip but…we heard there would be short plays based on true stories about the “The Entertainment Industry” being performed… But you didn’t hear that from us!”

The Gossip showcases emerging talent with stories based on real personal embarrassing, awkward, frustrating, shocking, funny, hard and crazy moments in the lives of actors, casting directors, directors, crew, producers and writers from the theatre, TV and film industry. Keep it good-natured and polite, no real names of people or companies are used or implied and plays are loosely based on true stories submitted by the writers and the public via twitter.

How to apply: Send a script partly based on a true story that has happened to you or that you have witnessed using fictional names to info@writersavenue.co.uk with THE GOSSIP followed by the title of your script in the subject line.
