Applications are now open for a brand new playwriting course in central Oxford, taught by Olivier Award-winning playwright and director John Retallack.
It is a new professional course that covers every aspect of writing a play and, over 30 weekly 2-hour sessions and 3 day-long workshops between September and June, asks a selected group of promising writers to write three plays, starting with a 15 minute text in the first term and moving towards a full-length script in the third.
You might be a brand new writer, or someone who has written a great deal but has yet to break through fully on to the professional stage or radio – or you might have published and want to build up your skills as a playwright.
Course dates:11 September 2017 – 4 June 2018
Course fees: £2500
How to apply: admission is by interview, plus an two 20-page samples of the applicant’s written work. No academic qualification is required and the course is open to anyone over 18. for more information, including course content and how to apply visit the website.
