Our free monthly gathering for playwrights and performance makers working on a writing project returns on Monday March 3, with guest playwright Tom Moran (@tmoran93) 🙌
Tom Moran is an actor-writer whose latest solo show, Tom Moran is a Big Fat Filthy Disgusting Liar, played The Abbey Theatre following its debut at Dublin Fringe, where it was awarded the Fishamble New Writing Award. In the year ahead, the show will tour Off-Broadway to The Irish Rep Theatre followed by a US Tour having sold out runs at Edinburgh Fringe, Sydney Fringe, Melbourne Fringe, Project Arts Centre as well as two Irish national tours.
The play has also been optioned by Deadpan Pictures where Tom is currently developing it for the TV comedy-drama space with support from Screen Ireland. Tom is currently under commission from Headline Pictures and the BBC for a 6 X 60 family drama called The Knocks, a Gaelic football western set in the North of Ireland about winning, betrayal and revenge.
