Curtis Brown is one of the world’s leading literary and talent agencies, representing actors, presenters, authors, playwrights, film and television writers and directors and theatre directors.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an assistant to support three agents across two offices in our Theatre, Film and Television (TFTV) department. Cynthia Okoye represents a list of exciting writers and directors for film and television, and Ligeia Marsh and Hannah Young represent a number of brilliant writers, directors and producers.
This role centres around ensuring the smooth running of the agents’ offices through effective organisation and exceptional client care. Promotion of the clients’ work, seeking out new opportunities for them both here in the UK and internationally, and safeguarding their interests is at the heart of what an agent does, so the successful candidate will need to quickly gain a comprehensive knowledge of each of the client’s work and each client’s specific individual requirements.
We are looking for someone with an authentic passion for and interest in film, theatre and television and the industry that surrounds it. Previous experience working in a supporting role in an agency for a television/film development or as an assistant in a Literary or Talent Agency would be beneficial.
We aim to build a creative environment that celebrates the differences of our clients and colleagues, offering equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, socio-economic background, age, disability, sexual orientation and national origin. In our role as conduits and champions of cultural expression we are conscious of our responsibility to reflect the world around us. This means making a considered effort to create an inclusive culture in the workplace and promote opportunities for the broadest possible range of talent. We welcome all applications from people with interesting ideas, skills and experience.
