Submissions are now open for monologues based on the timely theme of Past, Present, Future by writers with a connection to south east London.
The Jack Studio wants to find bold and original voices from our community in this new writing event. You might be a playwright or a poet, or have no previous writing experience.
It’s up to you how you interpret the theme – you can be as imaginative as you wish.
They are looking for 3 new fictional pieces of writing that reflect on where we have been, where we are now, as well as stories yet to be told.
The Jack Studio will select three submissions. Each writer will receive £500 and support to develop their piece by the Jack before it is rehearsed and filmed in March / April 2021.
Completed short films will be made available free of charge to our online viewers on their website and social media platforms later next year.
The final selection panel is led by The Jack Studio’s Artistic Director Kate Bannister and the Project Co-ordinator Emmanuel Nwosu and consists of the Jack’s associated artists and industry professionals.
