We are very proud that this production provides a vital experience for younger children, many visiting a theatre for the first time. It is a core part of our Christmas programme and has been building a reputation year on year.

You may be:

  • A playwright
  • A composer

  • A writer and a composer

We welcome applications from all of the above. You can apply individually or as part of a duo. Please make this clear in your application.

The show will be produced in the Neville Studio and then tour to primary schools and libraries in the region.

Contract: ITC Theatre Writers’ Commissioning Agreement for a play of under 70 minutes.

Fee: Minimum fee of £6,110, split between the writer and composer as appropriate. Depending on the split of work, this may be subject to an increase, up to a maximum of £8,300, if split between a writer and composer. The final fee and split will be worked out with the successful applicants. Reasonable expenses if applicable.
