Allison Heinz is a Theatre Directing postgraduate student at the University of East London who is searching for new work to use for the final project in her course.
She is looking for a play with a 2-3 person cast and around a 30-minute run time. The project will be a collaborative R&D that runs from March – July. The R&D will culminate in a final performance festival at Camden People’s Theatre in the first week of July. She is interested in works that tell a good story through a relationship, a historical event, a political statement, or a character’s journey. My favourite works are those which live in the “grey zone”, where there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong choice/answer to the issue at hand.
Before moving to the UK for my M.A., Allison was a freelance director and literary advisor in Chicago, IL. She developed and directed new works around the greater Chicago area for the American Music Theatre Project at Northwestern University, the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, Underscore Theatre Company, 2nd Story and more.
