Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT) and New Writing South (NWS) are teaming up for a sixth year to run the inspirational and influential Chichester Young Playwrights!
CFT and NWS will select 16 young writers aged between 16- 25 year olds to help them develop their knowledge and skill as playwrights.
You will work with a professional playwright across a series of 10 sessions to turn your ideas and passion into drama in the context of a producing theatre. You will experience what it is to work in the industry and meet with other theatre professionals.
One of the remarkable strengths of Chichester Young Playwrights programme is the connections and associations made. Recently the group have met with Lucy Prebble (Enron, The Effect), Steve Harper (Theatre 503), Steven Atkinson (High Tide) and Julian Mitchell (Another Country). Previous visiting artists have included award-winning playwrights such as Ronald Harwood, Chloe Moss,Dennis Kelly, Bryony Lavery.
