‘Discovering the Keskidee Centre’
Wednesday 10 August 2016 from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm
The London Metropolitan Archives
Opened in 1971, The Keskidee Centre was Britain’s first arts and cultural centre for the black community. It was opened 35 years ago. It was the meeting place for cultural events, like theatre performances, poetry; book launches and readings, as well as practical workshops for cooking, photography and sewing. The Keskidee Centre has a vibrant history waiting to be found. Come and explore it.
Come for a talk and document viewing of manuscripts, theatre brochures, photographs and more all about the Keskidee Centre.
This event is open to all ages.
The event is free to attend.
