EARLY CAREER SCREENWRITERS REQUIRED
Following the success of their first social impact screen project, Time Travelling With Myself,
The Seagull Theatre and The Keeper’s Daughter seek to form a writersroom of four early career professional screenwriters in order to develop screenplays for a new independent micro-drama.
Divine in Detention will focus on themes of relationships and sex education; how to be safe and healthy, and make informed decisions about your body. The writers will work alongside an education specialist to develop the story.
Applicant Requirements:
You must work or live in East Suffolk or the surrounding area.
A demonstrable passion for making work in East Anglia is vital.
Experience in community work with a social impact is beneficial.
A knowledge of magical realism 80s movies – Mannequin, Chances Are, Splash etc.
You should be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to a career as a writer.
FEE: £600 for 4 days on a self-employed basis.
LOCATION: The Seagull Theatre, Pakefield, Lowestoft, NR33 0JH
