Inviting Expressions of Interest for a new devised project telling the story of the wrecking and rescue of the Nornen in 1897. The production will be devised in October and staged in Summer 2022, with the possibility of a staged reading in March. This will be a vibrant and lively outdoor production celebrating the community of our towns and the ongoing work of the lifeboats. You can read about the story here: https://www.burnham-on-sea.com/history/berrow-wreck/.
Access will be embedded in the project from the outset, including BSL, with community outreach activities taking place alongside the professional creative process.
I’m inviting Expressions of Interest ahead of submitting funding applications. All applicants must have a base in Somerset or surrounding areas as you’ll need to be in Burnham-On-Sea for any in-person meetings and rehearsals. Pre-production meetings will take place on Zoom where suitable.
