Created by Dr. Annja Neumann, Space Popular, and Alex Mentzel, curated by Rebekah King
Faust Shop will be performed in Easter Term in the Sook Space, The Grafton Centre, a site specific environment augmented by LED screens, on 16 and 17 June 2022
In-between performances, the screens will serve as a unique digital gallery upon which stories, soundscapes, poems, images, animations, virtual environments, motion captures, videos, gifs, memes etc can be shown. They will be responses to the theme of ‘the Faustian pacts we make with technology.’
For writers, this might mean recording a poem/soundscape or creating an animation of the words. It might be a narrative piece of film or the use of words in conjunction with digital forms of media. We’re open to all sorts of suggestions, get in touch if you have any questions.
Please send your written or visual art pieces to Rebekah King (rak62@cam.ac.uk) and Dr. Annja Neumann (an436@cam.ac.uk) by midnight on 20th May.
