“I’ll send you a copy of the script. Add any gag, anywhere in the script, highlighted in a hi-vis colour so I can read it.
I’ll pay £50 for any gag that I like. No deadline. Writers who respond within a week tend to make the best suggestions. Our read-through is in early December. If your gag doesn’t make the final production I’ll pay you anyway for using it at the read-through”.
This is a buy-out. The one-off fee of £50 doesn’t entitle you to any further interest in the show. Not credit either. I don’t add the names of writers to the publicity materials – not even my own.
