How to Begin: Playwriting with Ryan Craig at the National Theatre (£400/£350)

How to Begin: Playwriting with Ryan Craig at National Theatre
16 September – 25 November

The National Theatre is offering a ten-week workshop series on starting to write a play, led by playwright Ryan Craig (Our Class, The Holy Rosenbergs). To begin any play, we have to ask ourselves what we’re writing about and why? In this course participants will look at rudiments of play-writing: how to begin, how to structure, how to hide exposition inside subtext, but at its core you’ll be constantly trying to locate your voice and the thing you want to say.

The course runs Fri 16 Sept – 25 Nov (not Fri 28 Oct) 10:30-12:30pm in the Cottesloe Room at the National Theatre.

Fee:  Cost for the course is £400/350 concessions.

How to apply:  Applications for this course have been extended to the 11th of September – please complete an application form and return to Ingrid Marvin.

Deadline: 11 September 2016
