The call out for scripts for Irlam Fringe 2016 – taking place August – is now open.
Submissions are limited to ONE per writer. Please do not send multiple submissions.
There is no fee for submitting your work or, if selected, for staging it.
They are looking for 15 minute plays with a cast of NO MORE THAN THREE CHARACTERS. Looking for plays that tell a story, where something happens, so no sketches.
“We have a very rapid turnaround between plays so no big or complicated set, please. No beds, no walls, no backdrops, no scenery. Couple of chairs, a table, a bicycle we can handle. We perform in a social club, not a theatre, and have very basic tech – so no complex lighting/sound requirements. Think story and character, rather than spectacle.
Due to the regulations and requirements and difficulty staging, plays that feature firearms (yes, even toy ones!) or knives or other tricky-to-manage items will not be considered.”
How to apply: send submissions by email to jane.mcnulty@tesco.net.
