ITV Studios is looking to grow its talent pool of disabled writers with a targeted development programme in collaboration with Tall Story Pictures.
The Disabled Writers in Development Scheme, will run over a 12-month period, with four writers developing an ITV-focused idea and writing a pilot script. The writers will then have the opportunity to pitch in a meeting with ITV’s drama team, including head of drama Polly Hill.
A development executive from both Patrick Spence’s scripted Studio and Tall Story Pictures will work with two writers, supporting and developing their individual projects.
The applications are open to disabled people only, with applicants requiring at least one professional writing credit in television, theatre, short film or radio for which they have been paid.
