Simon Stephens is one of the leading voices in British contemporary theatre. A multi-award winning writer, his stage adaptation of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time won the 2013 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play and the 2015 Tony Award for Best Play. He has defined a generation through the stage, with works such as Pornography (2007) and Port (2002). He has been an Associate at the Royal Court, London and Steep, Chicago and a board member of Paines Plough. He has been an Associate Artist at the Lyric, Hammersmith, a Professor of Scriptwriting at Manchester Metropolitan University and an Associate Professor at the Danish National School of the Performing Arts, Copenhagen.
