Literary Manager at National Theatre of Scotland (12 mo. contract)

The National Theatre of Scotland is currently recruiting for a Literary Manager.  This is a 12 month fixed term post that reports to the Director of Artistic Development.

The Literary Manager will work together with the Artistic Director and Director of Artistic Development to help realise the artistic vision of National Theatre of Scotland by:

  • developing and maintaining relationships with emerging and commissioned playwrights and their work and providing dramaturgical support for programmed productions and all other artists and projects in development.
  • Working with the Director of Artistic Development and Artistic Development Producer, to devise and implement development programmes for playwrights.

Post details:

Place of Work:  Based in National Theatre of Scotland’s office in Glasgow but will be expected to attend events, performances and briefings wherever there is or expected to be a Company presence
Start Date:  3 April 2017
Hours of work:  35 hours per week and as necessary to fulfil the scope of responsibilities of the post.
Additional Hours:  Attendance at National Theatre of Scotland performances, rehearsals and meetings outwith office hours
Annual salary: £32,000
Status: 12 month fixed term contract (subject to review)
