We’re on the look out for an intern who can helps support our work whilst gaining some valuable, hands-on experience in a literary organisation.
The Literary Intern will provide support for our popular submission window. The role will involve keeping track of scripts, providing administrative support, and communicating with our team of script readers and writers. For those interested in gaining experience as a script reader, there will also be an opportunity to get involved with reading scripts and receiving training in this area.
What you get: this internship is unpaid. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a literary setting, get to find out more about the landscape of new writing in the UK, and if you wish – gain experience as a script reader.
Hours: you’ll be expected to work no more than 5 hours per week. These hours can be worked around your own commitments and to suit your own schedule. All work will be completed remotely.
Skills and experience required: we’re looking for someone with excellent organisational skills and an enthusiasm for new writing. Good IT literacy is essential and a basic knowledge of excel is desirable. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plays and an interest in working a literary setting or as a dramaturg.
Duration of internship: to support the consistency of the role in our submission window, we are asking for candidates to be able commit to 6 months.
