Mary and Her Monster: Join theatremaker Catherine Duquette in open rehearsals for a new show about mothering and technology.

What are open rehearsals?

Fun interactive sessions where you can shape the show and peek inside the creative process. Pick from three locations (Camden/Euston, Shoreditch, Dalston): 11th – 18th Nov

About the show Catherine is creating

Mary and Her Monster uses Mary Shelley and her story of Frankenstein to explore mothering and tech as ways of care. It’s heading to the Pleasance Futures Festival in Dec 2023: www.pleasance.co.uk/event/futures-festival-mary-and-her-monster.

By mothering, I mean any act that births or nurtures life: art, community, activism. By tech, I mean Big Tech: Google, Elon Musk, AI, Amazon, smart phones, Alexa, social media.

Will it be worth your while? Here’s what others have said about my previous work:

Catherine offers “an exciting social experiment and effective artistic coup” Der Tagesspiegel, Berlin

“This was kind of a major psychological breakthrough for me and I’ve been on the verge of tears and laughter for half the morning.” Workshop participant

Catherine is “to be celebrated for her invention of personally interactive art for(u)ms examining social issues.” Huffington Post
