This week’s pick: Bush Theatre Summer submissions window now open
Description: The Playwriting Department at the Bush Theatre is committed to discovering the best new plays from playwrights who may be unknown to them and therefore seek unsolicited submissions from playwrights throughout the year in dedicated script windows. They receive as many as 2000 scripts per year through this process and each one is read and considered for development or production at the Bush. The latest script window is now open until 11th September 2015.
So, what’s so great about it? As you know, The Bush is renown for its’ focus on new writing so if you’re looking to send your play to one of the big names, this is one submission opportunity you won’t want to miss. Whilst there’s no guarantee of production, The Bush does have a proven track record of working with new writers so it’s worth a shot, right? And you’ve got plenty of time to finish off your submission as the window doesn’t close until 5pm on 11th September. There’s also plenty of guidance on the website to help you with your submission.
