Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: Alfred Fagon Award 2020
Description: The accomplished playwriting competition is now open for 2020 to any playwright of Caribbean or African descent, resident in the UK, for the best original, for a new stage play in English.
Why is it so great? The Alfred Fagon Award is the leading award for Black British Playwrights and is now open for entries for stage plays. This prestigious award is supported by the Peggy Ramsay Foundation. Read more about the previous winners and the successes of the award here. You have until 5pm on 31 July to get your scripts in – good luck!
