Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: LPW Introduction to Writing for Musical Theatre Workshops
Description: After the popularity of our Introduction to Musical Theatre Workshops, Emily Garside is running them again this December. Do both classes as a double-bill or either as standalone sessions.
Why is it so great? Since these workshops have sold out twice already we wanted to make sure you had time to nab a place this December. Designed as an Introduction to writing for musicals, these workshops are suitable for writers of all levels, and those who want to give musical theatre writing a go! The first session (12th December) tackles the fundamentals of structure and style, whilst the second session (19th December) focuses on starting to write your musical theatre project – but of them work as standalone workshops if you don’t want to commit to both sessions. We’ve had excellent feedback from running these workshops previously and participants found the atmosphere to be fun, friendly, informative. Find out more and book here.
