Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: Testlab New Writing Festival
Description: Testlab is seeking scripts of 60-120 minutes in length for a funded period of R&D and a rehearsed reading at the Ropewalk in Barton Upon Humber.
So, what’s so great about it? There is an huge amount of new writing activity located in London, but it’s a big mistake to limit your vision to the Capitol. Testlab is based in North Lincolnshire (and is understandably particularly interested in work coming from this region) but is open to UK-wide submissions, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for the right writer. This is a great chance to take your work to the next level, and possibly take steps towards touring your work, depending on the outcome of the period. Be sure you check out the full post to read about the kind of work they’re interested in, and remember you’ve got until 28 January to send in your application.
Read the full details here.
Please note, we’ve posted this for your convenience and we’re not affiliated with the organisers of the opportunity.
