The Black British Book Festival (BBBF) is partnering with Paramount for a “Storytellers Summit” Mentorship Programme.
The inaugural project with the global entertainment company is aimed at aspiring scriptwriters, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds in the screen industries.
Organisers said: “Scheduled for 3rd July, 2024, at the iconic Paramount headquarters in London, the “Storytellers Summit” promises to be a day filled with inspiring and informative sessions, offering invaluable insights into the process of developing ideas for screen.”

The Storytellers Summit invites aspiring scriptwriters to submit the first scene of a script along with a short statement outlining why they would benefit from attending the summit. Applicants must be residents of the UK, aged 18 or older, and available to travel to London on 3rd July.
The BBBF and Paramount have collaborated to create the Storytellers Summit, a day of inspiring and informative sessions for those looking to gain insight into the process of developing ideas for screen.
The Storytellers Summit will take place on Wednesday 3rd July 2024 at Paramount in London.
Entry guidelines and criteria:
· To apply, submit the first scene of a script and a short statement (max. 300 words) outlining why you would benefit from attending the summit.
· Must be a resident of the UK.
· Must be 18 years old or older.
· Successful applicants must be able to travel to London on Wednesday 3rd July. If the cost of travel might be a hindrance, there will be an opportunity to discuss this if your application is successful.
· This opportunity was created to provide a platform for individuals historically underrepresented in the screen industries.
