Pentabus Theatre – the nation’s rural touring company – is on the lookout for 16-25 year old writers for their 2015 / 2016 Young Writers Group.
Who are Pentabus Theatre?
- They develop and produce new plays about the contemporary rural world. They tour around the country, telling stories with local impact and national resonance.
About the Young Writers:
- The group will take part in monthly sessions run by their writer in residence and guest writers from September 2015 – May 2016.
- The young writers will each develop a short play, which will be professionally produced and performed in spring 2016.
Eligibility: You don’t need to have any writing experience to join, just a keen interest in storytelling and a need to talk about how we live now.
Who they are looking for:
- Writers aged 16-25, of any experience
- Preferably from or based in the following counties/areas: Shropshire; Staffordshire; Warwickshire; Worcestershire; West Midlands; Herefordshire and East Wales
- People who have something to say about the contemporary rural world
