Making It with Temi Wilkey
Temi Wilkey is an actor & writer from North London. She studied English at Cambridge before training as an actor with the National Youth Theatre REP company in 2014. Her acting credits include Hamlet & Cymbeline (RSC), Jubilee (Manchester Royal Exchange) Manhunt (ITV) and Years and Years (BBC). She was also the co-founder & co-director of Pecs, the Drag King collective, and performed in sell-out runs of their productions at venues including Tate Britain, Soho Theatre & The Yard theatre.Temi was a member of one of the Royal Court’s Introductory Writer’s Groups in 2017 and is a current recipient of the High-End Television Levy Writer’s Bursary Scheme, developing her first pilot under the mentorship of Lucy Prebble. The High Table is her debut play, which is on at the Bush Theatre from 8 February – 21 March 2020.

Created by the brilliant OneFinePlay, and supported by the Bush Theatre, this brand new podcast features playwright and actress Temi Wilkey talking to writers about how they create theatre. Our very own Artistic Development Manager, Jane Ryan, is producer of the project.
Each week, Temi Wilkey will speak to some of today’s most exciting playwrights, exploring what inspires them. So far, the line-up includes Richard Gadd, Jasmine Lee-Jones, Rash Dash, Yasmin Joseph – with more to come!
