The MA in Creative Writing: Scriptwriting at the University of East Anglia is hosting its annual Public Workshops.
The programme nurtures new scriptwriting talent from the UK and around the world. Recent graduates include: E.V Crowe, James McDermott and Janice Okoh. Alumna Deborah Davis was nominated for an Oscar for her co-written screenplay of The Favorite. This year marks the the 30th anniversary of the MA. This event is your chance to be there at the beginning of a new generation of writers.
The workshops take place on the 20th and 21st June at the Garage Theatre in Norwich, and anyone is free to join on either or both days. The workshops involve readings of extracts from the current students’ feature length projects, running from 11am to 4pm on both days. They will provide lunch and a chance to network with students and other industry guests.
The students’ work will range from feature films, stage plays to TV series. Their work is eclectic and exciting. Sharing their work in progress is a key part of the development of their scripts, and they warmly welcome and value your participation.
You are invited to register here. If you’d like to come on both days you’ll need to book for both days.
