Rianne Pictures is offering a free opportunity to 50 women & non-binary writers the opportunity to have their short film script read with feedback provided for their next draft, as part of their ongoing mission to develop groups unsupported in the film industry.
Scripts can be in any genre, but must be a maximum of 20 pages long. The writer – or both writers, in the case of a writing partnership – must identify as a woman or as non-binary. Five of the fifty reading slots are reserved for writers from or living in the North East of England, where the company is based and working with local organisations to increase the opportunities in the region.
Submissions open on 1st February 2023, and will remain open until 50 scripts have been received. Reading slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so writers are encouraged to submit as early as possible.
Scripts should be emailed as an attachment to info@riannepictures.com, with an Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form also attached. This, and further details, can be found on the Rianne Reads website.
Rianne Pictures is an independent production company based in the North East. The company hosts the annual Women X Film Festival, which is now in its fourth year and is also accepting film submissions.
Deadline: submissions close after 50 submissions are received. Submissions open on 1 February 2023
