Russell Lucas: One Person Show – Zoom Workshop

ONE PERSON SHOW ZOOM WORKSHOP WITH RUSSELL LUCAS

A 3 hour online whistle-stop tour on how to make a show with one performer. Maybe you’re writing it yourself or with others, but ultimately, this is about telling a story with just one performer on stage.

Using my particular experiences from making one-person shows (Julie Madly Deeply, off-Broadway/West End; An Evening Without Kate Bush, Soho Theatre/UK Tour; and The Bobby Kennedy Experience, Birmingham/Cambridge/Guildford/Chiswick/London) and working with Tape Face, Shit Theatre, Matthew Floyd Jones, Charlotte Fox, Tracey Collins and Desmond O’ Connor, I will take you through the ways I have made effective 21st Century theatre that sells while designing an impactful live event that you can take on the road.

My press reviews:

The Sun ★★★★
The Times ★★★★
The Stage ★★★★★
The Scotsman ★★★★
West End Wilma ★★★★★
Attitude Magazine ★★★★★

The workshop is born from my book ‘300 Thoughts for Theatremakers’ of which you can read more about here.

How it will work:

This is an online workshop running from 11am until 2pm on Thursday 2nd February. I’m expecting between 10 and 20 artists and it will all be done via a zoom link which I’ll provide you with a few days before.

In the session we will observe and dissect the following:

Your show idea
