Secrets is theme for writers aged 10-25 in Young Harts Writing Festival (BAME, £100 prize)

Harts Theatre Company in partnership with Lyric Hammersmith is looking for emerging young writers aged 10-25 for the Young Harts Writing Festival  (YHWF) 2017.

This is an inter-borough new writing festival, which aims to merge the gap between emerging young artists and professional artists.

Through an online competition, five plays written by emerging young writers will be chosen on the theme of secrets.

What you get:  Winning writers receive £100 commission, a free writing master class, and another month to complete your play. Each young writer will be partnered with a professional writer as a mentor.

What to sumbit:  10 minute short plays with the theme of secrets. 2-5 characters max.  One submission per applicant. Submissions cannot have been previously produced.

Eligibility: YHWF has a particular interest in BAME writers but the opportunity is open to all.
