Join Shooting People in session with Mike Figgis, the renowned filmmaker whose credits include Internal Affairs, Timecode and Leaving Las Vegas, for which he received Oscar nominations for Best Director and Best Screenplay.
The event will kick off at 7pm in the Hackney Attic (Hackney Picturehouse’s top floor venue space) and includes a discussion with Mike Figgis on his career as a filmmaker, his new screenwriting book, his latest design for the infamous FigRig, as well as offering filmmaking advice to the audience.
Got writer’s block? Alongside his book, Mike’s invented a card game to put an end to writer’s block once and for all… the 36 Dramatic Situations Playing Cards. After presenting the cards, Mike will work with members of the audience on a new idea for a script, using the cards as a live screenwriting experience.
There will also be the chance to see the latest version of the FigRig and try it out, plus a Q&A and networking drinks
The event is free to attend but availability is limited,
