If you’re 16-26 years old, the Soho Theatre’s Writers’ Lab gives you the chance to develop and refine your writing voice.
Meeting once a month, on Tuesday evenings through the academic year, each Lab session gives you support, inspiration and guidance from our course leaders and members of Soho’s Artistic Team. Throughout the year guest practitioners host one-off sessions and participants are regularly invited to attend shows at discounted rates. The course also provides the perfect opportunity to meet other emerging writers to share, exchange and discuss ideas.
At the end of the academic year we encourage writers to submit a full length play to the prestigious Soho Young Writers’ Award. Previous winners include Bitch Boxer by Charlotte Josephine (2012) and In Your Image by Gemma Copping (2013).
How to apply: For more information, get in touch with Jules here or call 0207 478 0113.
The cost to participate is £100. Bursaries are available to young people/families who receive Job Seeker’s Allowance or other welfare benefits.
Deadline: 18 August 2014
