Submissions at The Chelsea Theatre are now open for their next new writing evening. After their SOLD OUT shows in October they are BACK and looking for short pieces, this time inspired by the themes of: FEMALE EMPOWERMENT/SEXUALITY/CONSENT.
“In light of the events and throughout our industry we want to combat the feelings of mutual dredge and frustration with compassion and positivity. Scripts, skits, comedy, poetry and word vomit all from 1-9 mins long with up to 5 characters.”
All pieces chosen receive £50 commission fee.
Submission guidelines:
• The piece needs to be completely original and having never been performed at another venue.
• It needs to be stand alone and not an extract from a longer play.
• Avoid things that require specific set or anything prop heavy.
• You only have a short window so make in punchy and get your point across.
