Calling all writers: Coventry’s Warwick Arts Centre, one of the largest multi-artform venues in the UK, is looking for a number of local writers to perform open mic slots at SOLO Fest Monday 4 to Thursday 7 February 2019.
SOLO Fest is a four day festival that showcases three captivating theatre shows by solo performers.
Interested writers should email a solo piece that they have written and can perform without props or staging.
The piece might be poetry, a monologue or short story and can be of any genre.
Each piece should be 5-10 minutes in length.
Who can apply: this opportunity is open to writers living anywhere in Coventry or the Midlands of any experience, who can be available on at least one night of SOLO Fest.
Attendance at every night is not required. Performers will be paid (£TBC) and given a free ticket to SOLO Fest on the night they perform.
How to enter: please email them with the piece you would like to perform and any other relevant examples of your work (10 pages maximum), letting them know which SOLO nights you are able to attend.
