Worcester University seeking playwrights for Edinburgh 2020 show (paid)

Building on a pilot Edinburgh project this year, wherein students are collaborating with playwrights Katie Bonna and Michelle Barnette to create two original shows for Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019, Worcester University are now looking for two inspiring playwrights to collaborate with their students on the creation of two new plays to be performed at the EFF 2020.

Each produced play will need to work for and with the 6 – 8 students involved, and accommodate their skills and interests. They are potentially interested in any style of play (appropriate for EFF), and are also open to writers who can see room for physical theatre/dance or music within the piece.

The fee for each commission is £3,000 inclusive of all drafting, workshop and rehearsal attendance. A programme of visits to the University will agreed and travel expenses and overnight accommodation (where appropriate) will be paid at the standard University rate.
