Reel One Entertainment, A Digital Pen, is launching a competition to give emerging screenwriters worldwide the opportunity to have their screenplay produced in 2023. They want your fun, romantic and feel-good TV movie ideas for a love story audiences worldwide are sure to fall for.
The winner will receive a $5000 USD cash prize and the opportunity to work alongside experienced Development Executives with the intention of greenlighting to Production.
This competition is open to both represented and unrepresented screenwriters of all ages and backgrounds worldwide. If you’ve always had a great romcom idea bouncing around in your head, this is your chance to make it happen!
There are two stages to the competition.
Stage 1: Submit a 2-page treatment in PDF format for your romcom idea.
Stage 2: Successful applicants from Stage 1 will be invited to submit an Outline (no longer than 30 pages) in PDF format.
KEY DATES:
Deadline for Round 1 is midnight on May 2nd, 2022.
Due to the volume of submissions expected, they will only be able to respond to applicants who are selected to go through to the second round. Successful applicants will receive a response during the week commencing June 2nd, 2022.
The winner will be contacted in July 2022.
