Job Description
You will work with us to develop and create a textual resource for devising theatre with a vision of shaping the world of both Pebble Road and its residents and the imagined folk lore of the pond people.
We expect this to largely be made up of a series of short tales that take inspiration from the world of the play and explore freshwater biodiversity.
The text/s will then be used with a company of actor, musicians and directors for an audience at Stade Hall, Hastings.
We are mostly interested in writers based in the Hastings/St Leonards-on-sea area, or with connections and a place to stay in the area or nearby.
Job Requirements
You will be a writer with a background and/or experience in children’s storytelling.
A playwright or theatre storyteller will help us but equally is not essential.
You will be able to write creatively, rough and fast and be excited by flexible collaborations with actors, directors and audiences.
You may have an interest in wildlife, nature and be environmentally minded and keen to encourage children and their families to think green.
