Bolton Library and Museum Services are seeking writers and artists to work with us on an exciting new project.
Bolton’s Lost Words will use nature and reading to connect people, improve wellbeing and celebrate the joy of stories and libraries.
We are looking for writers and artists to work with community groups and their local libraries in the following areas of Bolton: Breightmet; Farnworth; High Street (Daubhill); Westhoughton and Central Bolton.
With the support of library staff and local partner organisations, you will work with the community group to create a story trail for the local area, which is inspired by the ideas of the group and nature poems from The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris.
There are ten commissions available (five for writers and five for artists) across the five libraries. Each commission is for £1,225 including materials, and you can apply for more than one.
