Following the success of the cosy crime course on Sister Boniface Mysteries earlier this year, BBC Studios are now launching a new residential training course for Father Brown.
Producing over 130 hours of television drama every year; BBC Studios Continuing Drama Birmingham is home to the hugely successful continuing drama Doctors. Consistently developing and producing new returning shows, Studios Continuing Drama Birmingham is also producer of popular long-running series Father Brown starring Mark Williams which sells to over 230 territories worldwide and Sister Boniface Mysteries, a successful spin-off starring Lorna Watson for Britbox and Drama Channel.
HOW TO APPLY:
Writers will need to submit their application via this hub with an upload of their CV, highlighting produced credit or credits, and three one page pitches and an original spec script. Uploading your application can be done through the application profile.
TIMETABLE:
• There are 8 places; and we shall be shortlisting 12- 16 writers for the scheme.
• The interviews for the shortlisted writers will be held on the week starting 9th October.
• The successful 8 writers will then be informed by the 16th October.
• Selected writers must be free to attend the three day residential course in Stratford Upon Avon on the 8th, 9th & 10th November 2023.
