The Titchfield Festival Theatre is receiving script submissions for its New Playwright Competition.
Your submission must be a brand new full length play that has not been previously performed. All genres are welcome. Maximum length of 2 hours. Scripts must be submitted anonymously under a pseudonym with no other identifying information on the script.
All plays are read anonymously by a panel of readers appointed by TFT.(made up of diverse mix of Patrons, Volunteers, language and literature professionals, all from a wide age range and geographical area). This panel will then create a shortlist for a final expert panel. This final panel of readers is made up of Artistic Directors, Professional Actors, Directors and Playwrights.
One winner will be picked from 10 shortlisted finalists and announced in December 2023. The Winner will be awarded a cash prize of £1000 and see their play performed in the ACORN Theatre for 1 week with a TFT Director and Actors in a package worth £10,000
Submissions close 11:50pm on 30th September 2023.
