The Pocketfull Project is a series of digital theatrical performances of between 5 and 15 minutes long that take advantage of the online medium. They can be accessed at any time online, and provide a tiny escape from your reality into someone else’s. Following the success of our most recent season, we’re very happy to be continuing the project with another small season, set to premiere online in the Spring and Summer of 2024.
The aim of Pocketfull is to be able to provide emerging artists a step into the industry with a published piece of theatre online for anybody to watch. Although Pocketfull is an unpaid opportunity, it offers the perfect chance to showcase yourself as an emerging artist and provides you with material to demonstrate your work in performance.
What are we looking for?
- Monologue scripts, meaning they’re designed for only one performer
- Between 5 and 15 minutes in length
- Capable of being performed in casual spaces, meaning they do not require the full conventions of a live theatre space (e.g stage lighting…)
- Written mostly in either the English or Welsh language
How do I apply?
Email your script to pocketfull@haywiretheatre.co.uk with your name, and a short bio about yourself and your script. Submissions will close at midday on Wednesday 13th December 2023.
