About Risk Theatre
Risk theatre is a new theory of tragedy developed by Edwin Wong. It challenges Aristotelian, Hegelian, and Nietzschean models of drama. Risk theatre explores the possibilities when risk becomes the dramatic fulcrum of the action. Risk theatre speaks to today’s audiences because it brings to life the impact of the highly improbable, chance, and the unexpected.
Risk theatre is based on Wong’s award-winning book: The Risk Theatre Model of Tragedy: Gambling, Drama, and the Unexpected. Here’s what playwrights and critics are saying:
“Extremely engaging and impossible to put down.”
NJ Drama Australia Journal
“Beautifully written, original, and compelling . . . an Aristotle for the 21st century.”
