OPPORTUNITY FOR PLAYWRIGHTS
We are looking for three playwrights to join our creative team for our new project A Map to You
A Map to You is a storytelling project that will connect families living with dementia to professional playwrights. We’ll provide a series of sensory, reminiscent storytelling activities and workshops to create memory based, new short plays. The short plays will be produced for performance and film, with public performances and online screenings, for a diverse audience.
We are looking for experienced, professional playwrights who are passionate about what we do as a charity, and are comfortable working with those living in care and with dementia.
Playwrights will be connected with a family dealing with or dementia peer group, who they will connect with through a series of creative activities and communication, developing their memories into a short play.
Playwrights will be supported by a member of The Dot Collective team but will be able to work independently to develop their story.
Timeline:
June/July – building connections and story development
August/September – Script development
Fee:
