The University of Salford is seeking a Lecturer in Playwriting for a part-time role.
The purpose of the role is to develop and deliver high-quality teaching material across playwriting modules at post-graduate level. To work closely with the regional theatre partners to provide consistency across the programme and to ensure student satisfaction in this partnership setting. To contribute, where appropriate, to the teaching of playwriting at undergraduate level. To engage in scholarly activity and undertake relevant research and/or professional activity.
MA Creative Writing: Playwriting is a unique Masters programme, in that it is run in partnership with three leading regional theatres: the Royal Exchange, Manchester, the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, and the Bolton Octagon. Students undertake half of their taught classes at the theatres. The post-holder will, therefore, also be responsible for working with the theatres in order to enhance the student experience in both the professional and academic environments.
