Assistant to 3 Literary Agents, C&W

This an exciting opportunity to join C&W literary agency on a permanent full-time basis.  C&W is a boutique agency within The Curtis Brown Group. We are a close-knit team of 16 people, representing bestselling and prize-winning authors around the world, with a proud track record of supporting writers from the very beginning of their career.

This role will involve providing administrative support to three Literary Agents, as well as actively engaging with C&W’s social media and website and helping with the general office administration.

We are looking for an assistant with excellent organisation and communication skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and to work calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in their work. While a keen interest in the publishing industry is a must, previous publishing work experience is not a requirement for the role.

This will be a flexible role with the opportunity to work between our London offices and home. We are also happy to consider applications from those who would prefer a 4-day week on a pro-rata basis.

We aim to build a creative environment that celebrates the differences of our clients and colleagues, offering equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, socio-economic background, age, disability, sexual orientation and national origin.   In our role as conduits and champions of cultural expression we are conscious of our responsibility to reflect the world around us. This means making a considered effort to create an inclusive culture in the workplace and promote opportunities for the broadest possible range of talent.  We welcome all applications from people with interesting ideas, skills and experience.

Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments during the interview process.

Salary range: £24,000 – £25,000 per annum
