theatreLab is looking for theatre and film scripts that can go forward into Bath Spa Universities production projects and events.
theatreLab is a development initiative so will consider scripts at all levels of development .
This opportunity is unique as theatreLab gives space to writers, directors and actors to get together in a rehearsal room setting and work on new ideas and develop scripts that can go forward to be put into a platform for new work, rehearsed reading or full production.
What to submit: The theatre scripts we are looking for can be any length. They only ask that the set is minimal and that the cast is not unnecessarily large.
The film scripts they are looking for should be between ten and twenty minutes in length. Those which are selected will be developed in collaboration with the students. This is a great opportunity to have a short film realised without having to look for funding.
Their aim is to help writers develop their craft by working collaboratively with directors and actors.
