‘Pitch Your Play’ invites you to pitch to Masterclass. The successful candidate will be given space for 4 weeks at Masterclass HQ and access to the the Theatre Royal Haymarket stage for a week (Monday – Friday) in order to cast, rehearse and stage the reading, culminating in a Friday afternoon showcase performance.
The script must be a new, unpublished, piece of writing. This is an exclusive opportunity to showcase your work in a West End venue to an invited audience. This could be your chance to invite potential funders, financial producers and potential theatres to see your work or to just test your new piece of writing to an invited audience.
How it works:
Writers and Producers aged 17-30 can apply. Please note if you are a Producer pitching a new play, the author of the play will need to fall into the 17-30 age range. Please also note that all roles necessary, including the casting for the staged reading, will be filled through the Masterclass membership i.e all your cast will be aged 17-30.
How to apply/What to submit:
- A short synopsis of the play
- A hard copy of your play*
- A cover letter explaining;
- Why we should pick your play and why you want your play staged?
- What you would hope this opportunity could offer you?
- What your long term plans are for the play?
- In an ideal world where you see the play being produced?
