This summer we’re going to have our hands full working on the Dark Horse Festival.  However, we’ve still planned some exciting offerings for writings looking to expand their skillets, or find some creative stimulation!

LPW Play Development Workshop – with A.C. Smith
Thursday afternoons from 3-5pm on 2 June – 21 July 2016 

This seven week workshop supports intermediate and advanced-level writers in developing a play of their choice.  Feedback will be offered in a friendly, structured environment to support the writing process and challenge participants to produce their best work. (Writing sample required. Please also note there is some variation in dates for two of the meetings, described in detail on the course page.)

Pitching with Confidence – with Kimberley Andrews
Saturday 4 June 2016 from 10am-1pm

Pitching with Confidence is a half-day intensive that will help you build confidence talking about your work and pitching your projects. This friendly, supportive environment will help you build experience talking about your work and tailoring it to different formats and audiences, so you can be prepared and confident talking to everyone from Literary Managers to punters who may be future fans!

Introduction to Writing for TV – with Sumerah Srivastav
Saturday 4 June 2016 from 2-5pm

Introduction to Writing for TV is the perfect primer for playwrights looking to expand their skillsets or screenwriters looking for industry pointers. Drawing on her personal experience, Sumerah covers practical and creative aspects of how to build a career writing for the small screen.
