Pokfulam Road Productions launches ‘Foreign Goods Last Forever’ showcase (female writers, Chinese or SE Asian only)

Pokfulam Road Productions will be launching a regular new writing showcase FOREIGN GOODS LAST FOREVER that will produce extracts from 6 work in progress plays from new and established writers of Female, Chinese & South East Asian descent.

The inaugural showcase will feature 6 new plays and will take place at an established London theatre in November (location TBC). After the first showcase there will be more planned showcases in future to be a regular strand.

There may also opportunity for the performed plays to be published.

Eligibility: Writers must be female, and of Chinese, SE Asian descent (this includes British born/mixed race).

What to submit:  They are seeking plays under 100 minutes.

In their own words: “We want stories that in some way address your background in all aspects such as life, society, politics, family, heritage. Form is, however free. You want to submit your play about the 1997 Hong Kong handover set in space, or a thriller about a Chinese family who go on the run in Ireland? Go for it.

Plays may have had R&D / rehearsed readings but not as full productions in the UK (internationally is fine).
